What’s crazy is in my area, most people are Cajun, the Cajuns faced so much discrimination, deportation and even an attempted genocide, and successful assimilation, Cajun French is essentially a dead language. Their Great and great great grandparents were facing discrimination for being accepting of people of color and for not speaking English.
